Дженнингс, Вэйлон
Дженнингс не отличался правильным образом жизни, пристрастился к наркотикам и даже был арестован за попытку сбыта кокаина, но сумел избежать наказания. Он страдал серьезной наркозависимостью, на которую уходили все заработанные средства, но в 1984 году после рождения сына сумел побороть в себе это пагубное пристрастие, хотя при этом он выкуривал по шесть пачек сигарет. Возможно, это стало причиной операции коронарного шунтирования в 1988 году.
Всего Дженнингс был женат четыре раза (первый — в 1956 году), у него шестеро детей. Концертную деятельность он закончил в 1997 году, чтобы быть ближе к семье.
Музыкант был болен сахарным диабетом. В течение долгих лет он боролся с этой болезнью. В 2001 году Вэйлону ампутировали левую ногу. А 13 февраля 2002 года, в возрасте 64 лет музыкант умер из-за очередного приступа.
Вошел в историю мировой музыки, как легенда музыки-кантри. Он был настоящим бунтарем, способным добиться всего. За свои достижения музыкант был удостоен многих почетных званий и премий.
